Very first thing I tested was the clip export which is handy, but I have not found a way to re-import them "en masse." Attempts to do this create new tracks, but if imported one at a time they do import to timestamp on the same track.

Does the reverse "batch clip import" exist?

Are you hoping to reconstitute a project from a collection of broadcast waves? If so, it is not going to happen. The files contain information about where they exist on the timeline but do not have any information about where they exist in relation to other clips or another axis.

Not "project," but "track." Bob Bone's post about 50+ clips in a single track came to mind with this. Sure I can export them all (from one track), but now getting them back into one track within SONAR is "painful."

Obviously some user forethought is required, but if someone exports clips from a track, it would make sense to be able to insert an audio track, select those clips and pull them all back into the same track. If they overlap (i.e. user error), adding a take lane would be needed.
