Just be thankful you don't have Pro Tools 12 and a bunch of RTAS plug-ins.

But seriously, shouldn't he be complaining to Microsoft? Windows 10 changed...X2 is still the same.

Try running the latest version of Cubase on Windows 10 :-)  According to Steinberg there's a bug in Windows 10 that affects all audio software (yeah right).

Actually, this has been confirmed by Microsoft. Microsoft has also issued a hotfix, and it's being tested.

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed however let me say that the beauty of a program like Cakewalk is that it is continually evolving and getting better every month.  This keeps us up to date and gives us the tools to make the best music we can.  No matter what kind of music you make and weather you do it for fun or are a serious professional, Sonar gives you what you need to make it happen. To address your situation, what can you expect when your using X2 and we have evolved to Platinum plus the new Windows 10 OS is here.  If you want to have support then you have to be current. There is noting wrong with X2 but things advance.  Would you expect modern technology from a cell phone that was several years old, I think not, you would need to get a new current smart phone for performance and support. My point is X2 is a solid program but it's older and if it suits your needs then great but if you want the latest advancements and support perhaps you should consider an upgrade.

For the price of a re-furbished 2" 24-track tape machine and two reels of tape a year for the next 10 years, you can upgrade to Platinum every year for the next 100 years. Just sayin.'

I agree. Why do people expect legacy versions to be supported on the new OS? Where is the sense of perspective? If you would like to stick with an old version, good for you... but you may need to use an OS from the same era.
