Hi I haven't seen anyone having the problem I'm having, My start screen is completely blank, No recent project icons, no templates but if I click on existing projects my folder comes up. The start screen was working fine for the first few times I was opening and closing projects, I'm wondering do you have to be connected to the internet for it to work? I only connect my Daw computer for updates. I really like the start screen and would love to use it, also I'm worried about the templates I have created not being available.
Thanks Guys,
Andrew

I am having the identical problem.  My system is off line also.

I've got to do some more investigating and hopefully I will find the problem.  However I have a ton of things going on now so it may be a little while before I can start.

Hi Gang!

For those of us not using CCC or similar situations...

Can anyone please post a list of which files to update for this (Hop) release?

I downloaded SPlat and plugins update as well as the local docs.

Are there other items updated this time?

Many thanks!

Happy Sonaring!

Keni

As all of the SONAR releases to date are all-inclusive, I am curious by the 57MB jump (17%) in download size. Is the new start screen adding that much?

I'm on metered internet at certain times of the day.
What is the size of the files to update to Hopkinton?

I wish more people would read the release eZine, many of the questions posed in the forum after release are answered in there.

Although I had looked at the update summary page, I realized this is not the same as the "release eZine." But it was quite the adventure trying to find the eZine. Searching knowledge base for "eZine" yields links to some for earlier release eZines but not the most recent one (yet). The link on the summary page is disguised as "based on" a pdf file, but no mention of the term "eZine" there.

The eZines have great information. I suggest having someone make an easy-to-find page with direct links to all the eZines, or else have a sticky link near the top of the forum with the collection of those links.

Over time it might be advantageous to add an annual summary eZine that lists all the improvements made from January through December. Could be a useful marketing tool as well as a useful bit of reference information.

I feel for you both; Craig for his long time frustration that many don't read his eZine page and rhWheeler for his difficulty with locating it.  Many of us have experienced problems with its location and have suggested a more prominent presence.  It is one of those "Once you know where it is, you know where it is"  but until you finally learn where CW is putting it, the eZine remains much like a "Holy Grail" of useful information.

One suggestion is that it gain prominence in the list of forums at http://forum.cakewalk.com/ . It is certainly as useful as any forum.

Cheers
