When I load my Akai MPC Software as a plugin, any project I try to load in MPC refuses to load any Tracks Or Sequences & say "unused" in their place. Programs all load up fine. 
 
Also, my older projects work fine. I don't remember when I got 2.0, but presumably, it's the 1.9.6.1 projects that load ok, and 2.0 + that don't. I'm on 2.2 now, but I tried with 2.1 and got the same result. I've tried running Sonar & Cakewalk as administrator, that doesn't work either.

Any Ideas? I really like how low the CPU usage is in SPLAT/Cakewalk and the Pro Channels are pretty good.

Thanks for the reply. It's weird. I figured out something late last night: After I load the main project file, to get the Tracks & Sequences to load up, I can load the .sxq file out of the project folder, and it works. The programs are already in place. Kinda a PITA, though. There has to be some reason this is happening, I'm just stumped.
 

The workaround sucks. I wish I knew why old projects load fine & 2.0+ projects won't. If I can sort this, I think I'll go back to SPLAT/Cakewalk. I used to track out my MPC 1000 to Sonar version 8. I've always loved Sonar's workflow.

No one? Surely that guy up there and I aren't the only ones using MPC as a plugin in Sonar.

May I ask if you guys did a clean install of MPC 2.0, or an upgrade?
 
I always have to install 1.6 first to get my Waves plugins scanned (the known workaround), then upgrade to 2.0+. If I clean install 2.0+, the Waves shell crashes in the plugin scanner every time, still.
 
Just grasping at straws here, trying to figure out what could be the culprit over here. Akai support instructed me to remove the MPC settings file, but I did that, same result.
 
I've tried both running Sonar & Cakewalk as admin, and regularly. Same. 
 
I've figured out that the MPC software is simply not loading the .sxq file when running as a plugin in SPLAT/CW. Digging it out is a PITA.
 
It may be related to the fact that the MPC software in standalone mode sometimes needs to load a project twice to load the tracks & sequences every now & again.

I think both Cakewalk and Akai support are about done with me. Crying shame, too. Cakewalk has come a long way, and I thought it was great at version 8! 
I wish I could figure this out. Best I can tell, in plugin mode, the .sxq file in the MPC project isn't loading up unless I do it manually. That's a PITA plus allows too much room for mistakes in loading in saving.
One clue is the fact that it does it occasionally in standalone, too, but after a second load, the tracks & sequences load up. Weird.
