Hi Folks,
Ok something is acting weird. I upgraded the patch for 6.02 and now when Sonar opens, I get and error message "cannot open Mater.INS No instrument definitions will be available"
What does this do and how do I fix it? If I click ok Sonar open the file, so I am not sure what the error means.

I have the same problem after upgrading to 8.5.
Anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Per Noel Borthwick in another thread on this issue:

Launch SONAR once with the shift key held down. This will force a resync of your application data to the current user (you will see a prompt on launch).

Thank you for the reply.  Just tried opening with force a resync of the application data, but still get the same "cannot open Master.INS file" message.  I wonder if that has anything to do with upgrading 8.0 PE 32bit to 8.5 PE 64bit??  Appreciate any comments or ideas.

Just had a similar "Cannot Open MASTER.INS..." error this week (S8.5.2).  Loading Sonar (using Right-click...Run As Administrator) and holding down Shift Key fixed the problem.
