Installed update 7, (x86 only FORTUNATELY!), and Sonar can't "find" my Slate and Lexicon Plugs.

Pulled up Sonar x64 (update 5 mind you), Slate and Lexicon are there in Plugin Mgr; they work just fine!
Ran VST Scan, I'm demoing the MMelda Convolution thing, and Slate and Lexicon are STILL THERE; work just fine.
Running "vst scan" with "re-scan failed plugs" and "re-scan existing plugs" in x86 saved the day!

x86 was working fine at update 6. I always "test" the latest update on x86.
Can I "roll back" without being online?

Did you know there was an iLok update on August 8th on August 8th that included the 32-bit Windows version? Are you using version 2.5 or 2.5.2 of license support?
 
Every now and then (which seems independent of SONAR updates, but more related to moon phases or possibly what color socks I'm wearing), some iLok plug-ins stop working for me. I have yet to encounter a situation where downloading the latest version of the Official iLok Licensing Bureaucratic Management drivers didn't solve the problem. Well, except when I had to reformat my C: drive, because I installed software without having the latest drivers...but that was a long, long time ago. I haven't had those kind of problems since the 2nd gen iLok came along.

Contrary to popular belief it does not necessarily point to Sonar just because an earlier version of Sonar works. Code has dependencies.
 
Try running Sonar as admin.  
Try running Sonar as not admin. 
Update ILok to latest version.
Run windows update everywhere.

No problem here accessing my iLok libraries in 64 bit Sonar.

Am I the only one who runs both x86 and x64 versions of Sonar??

When I open the ilok License Manager it informs me via pop-up message when new versions are available.
The next time you have an iLok problem start by opening the manager first.
