Sorry to hear that!!!!!!
Maybe there's something within Sonar related to the AT that has to be removed manually also?

You probably already checked this, but I was just wondering if you had "channel aftertouch" enabled in the preferences.

You validated this, right?

Hey Geoff, glad you got your old username back!

Yes I did check Channel Aftertouch and that still didn't help. Seems everything works except manually moving the slider  to effect whats on the screen. And the touch pad doesn't respond either. If I try to write it will show where I have touched the slider and even write a perimeter but just leave s straight line.

Ok. Let's get to the basics. When you install the Alpha Track you can install a driver for Cakewalk/Sonar.

When you are in Preferences and you add the device > Clicking the yellow star > you must select Frontier Alpha Track under Controller/Surface and Input and output ports as the alpha track.

You want both ACT and WAI (Where Am I) checked.
Control Strips visible in All Strips dotted.

Click Apply + OK (to be sure).

From there when you click on a track, you should see the track name on the alpha track screen...
Do you see it?

In track view, show the track inspector and move the fader.

Still no luck?

You are using a USB2 port, yes? I believe that is required. (but I would expect system crashes if you are not).

** Yes, Leadfoot, Ryan helped me out and modified my account so I could upgrade it. It was very nice of him. :-)

Yes Geoff I did all that you listed, nothing changed. Unistalled driver again. Did a reg clean installed driver again. Still same problem. A couple of things though during the install it wanted me to look for FW-1884 in device manager and update driver. Couldn't find that. It also told me to look for Program Files/FW1884-instal folder that I could not find either. Not sure what that is all about. Now I just double check and hooked it up on my Lap Top and again everything worked fine. I then plug in to a direct USB in the front of my PC (I use a hub) still same problem with Slider and touch pad not sending signal out to puter. This is really weird

Just for the hell of it, have you tried a different USB cable going from the AT into your computer?

Could it be a power management issue with your USB ports?

Power issue? hmmm just never had this problem until recently. I don't think it's a cable but wroth a try I suppose. Also not much support from the Frontier Group guys. Not even sure their still in business anymore are they. You would think they have some updates.  I wrote but never got a response.
