I have just been upgraded to Win 10. s
Sonar videos are played through You Tube and the default has changed from Flash Player to HTML.5 player.  I can no longer have Sonar open even with a blank project and play a video tutorial at the same time. The sound track from the video slows down and drops a couple of octaves. There doesn't seem to be an option to revert to flash player. Any ideas welcome.

Make sure you are on mix control 3.6. If you are using the windows legacy FireWire driver stop using it!

Try:
* Experiment in Sonar preferences the 'share devices with other programs' setting.
* Using the same sample rate in Sonar as the videos use (48khz I assume?), make sure mix control is the same.
* In windows control panel sounds turn off saffire and route all sounds to internal sound card. Route output of internal sound card to input of saffire (recommended).
* Different browser.

Thanks for this. It was the sample rate. Oddly the sample rate in Saffire mix control panel was 44.1 but in windows/control panel/sounds both the playback and recording sample rates for Saffire pro were set at 96?.

Alternatively, and I don't know if this is possible, but maybe you could check your web browser options. There may be an option to use flash instead of HTML5.

I find this issue intriguing.

PS: Youtube has turned into a progressively more craptastic POS since the google takeover. It's rather infuriating.

Flash was always crap to be honest. Sooner it dies the better (Jobs was right). Html5 is huge improvement.

Flash is crap. I have high hopes for HTML5 stuff (and intend to incorporate it in my own adventures).

What I said was youtube has turned to crap. It has become an extremely annoying experience all around.
