Hi,
I've now upgraded to Platinum from X3 Producer, I've kept my settings the same, except I'm now on windows 10
but I've got a lot of crackles, I updated straight to Hopkinton, should I have updated first with Gloucester, as I've just recently moved
to windows 10 ?

Thanks

John

You upgraded correctly.
Update your audio interface firmware and drivers to the latest. Also do the display driver.
Then check your ASIO buffers. Check how you buffers are set in Sonar.
Hope you aren't running ASIO4ALL.
Maybe latencymon may be of use here.

Did you happen to check to see if drivers were available for your audio interface for Windows 10, prior to upgrading to it?

Also, are you running in ASIO driver mode?

What is the current ASIO Buffer Size (if in ASIO driver mode).

It has taken me some time to get things dialed in, but I have both my laptop and desktop all set up now.

A few small things that helped...
-- power options ~ high performance
-- Power Options > Advanced > USB Selective Suspend Disabled

Windows Explorer > Right click 'This PC' > Manage > Device Manager >
-- double click network adapter > Power management > Uncheck allow computer to turn off this device.
-- disable webcam
-- disable USB display adapters
-- System Devices > disable High Def Audio Controller (this is a tip from Craig... might not be necessary).

-- Under sound, disable items you don't use.

Install Latency Monitor from Resplendence and check the results.

That said, I'm still getting clicking when switching between applications that use audio.

Hi John-

I have the Komplete Audio 6 as well and it's working fine with Win 10 x64 here. Make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware, as Doktor Avalanche suggested. As of 8/12/15, NI is saying their products "without any specific issues" under Win 10: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/knowledge-base/show/4230/windows-10-compatibility-of-native-instruments-products/

Thanks for all your input guys,
Yes I do run my system on ASIO driver mode, my buffer size is 512
I just uninstalled my Komplete Audio 6 drivers, and then installed them again,
And yes I do have the latest drivers and firmware, I just double checked, good call !!
And it's back to normal, clear sound !!
Again thanks for your input

John
