I think there's a lot of education needs to happen here, people just aren't getting the standard operating system principle that admin account should not be exposed, and what the real consequences can be here.

If they wish to take a big risk for the sake of their little inconvenience, or they think precautions and turning off stuff make this unnecessary functionality, or they think virus scanners will capture all security violations, well good luck to them.... however they are exposing one big hole, and they will need luck.

It's extremely disappointing to be honest that apparently qualified people can encourage it under the banner of "common sense". One of the big reasons why windows viruses went right down in numbers was because UAC was introduced in XP. Disabling it is not "common sense", but frankly madness.

To the OP: If you really must make changes to the UAC just click on the notification Icon. Then All settings. Type UAC in the search box and you will see the option to make changes to the Account Control. Once you are in the UAC settings are the same as with other versions of windows.

On my computer its always on the minimum setting. On my Wife and kiddies I do not change it. I also restrict them to using a non administrative user account.

You are at your own risk if you make changes though.
