Hi. I use Sonar X3 in my Dell  Optiplex 755 (PC), using Windows 7. Can somebody say me please why the 44.1/16 WAV file I uploaded previously in my computer doesn't appear in the track and in the folder when I drag in from my computer desktop or when I import it. Am I missing some step? Because when importing an Audio CD it works, and the wavelength appears  in the track and is registered in the folder. Thanks for your response.

Are you sure they are not importing? If they are broadcast waves they could be way down the timeline. If this is the case, deselect "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp" in Preferences > File > Audio Data

Adding to Scooks: If you see a dotted line on the audio track it means there's something further on the track.

And hitting ctrl + end will take you to the end of the clip, wherever it is

The file was recorded from a professional portable recorder (Zoom H5) and imported from this device to Sonar in my computer, then I tried by transfering the file to my computer desktop and then dragging it to the sonar browser area. (below the timecode). It only appears the file name, but the audio wavelength doesn't appear. Where is the "preferences " menu? Thanks. I am new in this software. I used to use  another ones beforewards.

Prferences is found on the main menu under Edit, keyboard shortcut P

The Media Browser http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Browser.03.html can point to any location the Windows browser can find. There is no need to drag clips into the browser. Clips may be imported into a project by dragging the clips into the track view http://www.cakewalk.com/D...age=3&help=0x200C4

Adding the file to the browser is a good idea if you want access to it for multiple imports to the same prject or to have it available in multiple projects.

But you still need to drag it into the project (Track view) in order to include it in your project, otherwise it will just sit in the browser
