So, if I am reading this right and understanding, I will be able to send a bus back to a virtual input and record that. Am I understanding this?

yeah, this one may have put me over the edge

My main annoyance with Maschine is the hoops you have to jump through to record linear midi, yet retain its sound browsing and editing workflow. But I'm not sure Cake can do a lot about that.

The big screw up with Maschine is that if a scene is bigger than a pattern it must loop. Meaning it's extremely hard to plan song structure in advance.
