No offense taken, let me briefly explain.
Knowing how many plugins being needed on a particular track isn't the point or issue. What happens to an increased or decreased size of the fx rack & how it affects or changes the CV screen area is.
Chains are great to save as presets then insert into projects but generally I don't care for having them collapsed.
I don't know how your graphics operate but I can't see anything in them when hovering over chains on my system only open / close.
(That might be an nice feature add too: hover & expand.)
I use a single monitor & when collapsed I have to open them up, scroll side to side to see what's there or which are engaged or bypassed.
Not to mention extracting cause hiccups, stop playback or can make the system unstable depending what plugins are contained in them.
And I don't want to stop playback & extract each time I only want to see what's in the chain, enabled or bypassed.
Too much time wasted & room for error imo. ( again hover & expand)
Also when converting to a chain in CV they're converted to chains in TV as well which I don't want at all.
When using TV you can re-size, set & lock default heights.
With sends you can select the max amount you want to see on the screen.
It would be additionally nice if fx racks in CV were handled in the same manner.
I was curious to see if it was possible because as you can see it would be useful in my case.
