sonar "Professional" Glouster version what ever that means...
ive downloaded a midi file . All i want to do is create 21 separate audio files one for each of my (21) MIDI tracks.
 
Perhaps its a matter of semantics, or may be 3 ways to do the same thing, user error..all of the above.
converting midi to audio. All the white papers says its easiest to assign Tss1 and Viola you're done.
not so fast..it doesnt mention  assigning inserting (I) audio track per midi file sound.
nor does it mention having to record the midi onto its associated audio track...
TSS! has four outputs, problem is I ned to convert each sound ie kick , snare tom,etc..as its own wave file  track, not mixed down to 4 tracks.
not so easy ..so between the you tube video and the white papers ive trid to follow, it has become a frustrating waste of time.
please help.
 
how do i create ONE sepate audio wave file track, for each ONE of my separate midi tracks?
 

Have you tried selecting only the midi track you want exported to wav and the use the File->Export->Audio command? It works for me.

Yes, just now and display box message reads "the specified selection did not contain any audio data. Pleas ensure that the selection contains the audio data you wish to bounce". so bounce and convert ...are they not two different procedures?

Do you have the midi file routed to a synth? Try inserting a synth into the synth rack and then set the output of the midi track to the newly inserted synth. If you don't understand what I mean, refer to the tutorials in the help doc, or check out some basic tutorial videos on the cakewalk website.

I haven't done this with TTS-1, but several other soft synths. I assume it's mostly  similar with TTS-1.
For 21 MIDI tracks you'll need 6 instances of TTS-1 (4 tracks per instance). When using "Insert soft synth" you check for all audio output tracks. All tracks are created automatically, you don't need to add anything manually. Then you assingn the MIDI channels per instance/track to route to desired audio tracks.
 
When you bounce to tracks you must select both the MIDI- and the audio output track .
There are some small tricks required with TTS-1 compared to other synths. For example selecting the instrument sound is done in the MIDI tracks header window instead of the synths instrument drop down list.
 
There is actually no function  called "converting" in SONAR. You either bounce to tracks, freeze or export. In all cases the result is an audio file of the MIDI. Bounce and Freeze create a audio track, exporting creates a wav-file outside SONAR.
 
There are a couple of forum members who are TTS-1 specialists. Very likely one of them chimes in to add detailed info or to correct what I've written.

Thanks for your help. Ive tried a number of the steps you prescribed. at best ..the wave files i was able to create, had more than one sound in them eg: instead of the kick drum on its own channel, I end up with kick and snare in the file.
that s what reallly buggin me, its like i'm half way there..close but no cigar. I would love and run the other soft synths that came with "professional" instead of TSS-1. just cant seem to get over this learning curve...I'm 60 work full time and just want to get past this . I got songs pieces and parts of songs, want to work in the box. thanks for all your help really appreciate it

You would have a lot easier time using Session Drummer 3 in this case. It is much easier to setup a multi-track drums in Session Drummer than TTS-1.
 
TTS-1 can do it. It involves creating separate MIDI tracks for each kit piece, then use different MIDI channels to drive multiple instances of the drum kits in TTS-1 and assign the output to the 4 TTS-1 audio outs or use separate instances of TTS-1 for each MIDI track.
