What is the assets file saved along with project files? (I cant find a help reference)

Asset files were used with Gobbler. The files are not used at the moment.'=

To turn them off deselect the "Save Asset Manifests with Projects" option http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=0x20A26
