So, really focusing problem. That can also explain why you could select in previous version: while clicking on "empty space" the click was transfered (shifted) to the "number" area.
I hope CW can find out why you have that shift and either it is Sonar related.

Since the problem exists when I rebooted and tested in Win 7 safe mode, I would think that it is Sonar related and not hardware driver related.

What's your screen resolution set to?

Screen resolution probably doesn't matter since the issue exists in Win 7 safe mode too which changed the resolution.
Not at home to give the exact resolution but the problem exists on two different systems which both run at different resolutions.
Keep in mind, this morning I discovered that the clickable track number didn't shift, it decreased to 1 or 2 pixels wide horizontally.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your video. I was able to determine the problem and there is a work-around. After launching a project in Sonar go to the Views menu - Icons - Track View  and enable "Show in Header". This should restore your ability to select tracks in the Track View.

It appears the lack of icon in the header is offsetting the selection area for the control. This is indeed a bug and I've reported it to our developers. In the meantime, showing the icon in the track view strip should fix the issue for you.

Thanks for your patience and providing the information we need to solve the issue!

It's sad when we have to measure success by one or two PIXELS.

LOL, I have had worse... One or two microinches... BUT I didn't have to click a mouse pointer on it either!

I have win 7 but I am in the middle of a big rush project.  I use this feature all the time.  I always highlight a range in the timeline and then click on different tracks and the selection follows the track.  I am sure it will get worked out. No biggy just holding out until Heimlich update.

Bill Jackson asked about showing track icons earlier, and Bob said it made no difference. But maybe he didn't set/check it properly.
