It's simply a template for hosting mastering-oriented plug-ins, not a mastering suite by any means. I believe Cakewalk is still digesting all the suggestions about "real" mastering options to determine next steps.

Well, that's honest. I can truly believe that.

My main concern with the workflow there, is, it needs to be large and simple. As we know, analog Mastering studios tend to have all unessential objects and distractions removed from the room. That should be what it feels like. Thanks!

Well then, you'll probably be disappointed to hear that as far as I know, there's no "banish lead guitarists" button .

I actually have no idea what's planned, the timeframe, or what will be implemented. But CW did ask for opinions not that long ago and there was quite a response, so I imagine any implementation is a ways off.

Them's fightin' words!  Okay, not so much.  I'm not nearly good enough to qualify myself as a lead guitarist.  But if any snide comments are made about rhythm guitarists then we sir are going to have a problem...

I don't play leads, since I cannot play guitar, but I'm in the midst of repairing a 1975 Les Paul Deluxe for our lead-guitarist. Thankfully Gibson-branded hardware exists in the after-market market. I guess this will do quite the opposite and make him more distracting!

It's my opinion that if you can't play (at least) E-D-A (i.e. "Gloria") on guitar you should not be allowed to to be near a guitar let alone repair one.

Not to hijack the thread, but nope, can't play a chord. However I can tune, repair, set action, and then intonation by ear, and people (oddly) do trust my work. I play bass, if that's remotely close. heh.

So, you can't dance either?
