When people ask about the best control surface, VS-700 is often the answer; and it has been my answer as well.

I just read, however, that it does not work correctly with Windows 10.  There is a work-around, but the cost is a loss of some functions.

If that is true, I need to 1-put off Win10 as long as possible and 2-start shopping for another console.

Any information?

Out of curiosity, where did this driver come from? It's not on the Roland VS700 support page... which is still an active page.

Thanks, Buz.  I don't know if that helps because I am still on Win 7, but I will save the link.

I'm also curious about Steve's question.

Take care.

I have to agree Konradh - I have enjoyed my VS-700 but if it is not going to compatible to Windows 10 - I'm going to be needing someone to recommend another Controller...

Unfortunately - change is inevitable :-)

With a trick it is possible to install the 8.1 driver under Windows 10. That works really.
(Disable driver signing during installing)
Then a missing vs700.dll must be copied from an older Sonar Version to the current Version to Sonar - and registered (regsvr32.exe) in the System. (...\Cakewalk\Shared Surfaces)
Because cakewalk does not deliver this dll in the current Sonar (license Problem with Roland)
At the Moment I have a working VS700 console.

Currently I'm not missing a function.
No one knows how long it works.
