I just received a new Tascam US-16x08 interface. The sales description said, "Includes SONAR X3 LE and Abelton Live Lite 9", but there was no software in the box. For drivers, the manual just references their web site where I did find they've posted the v1.0 drivers ().
I was hoping to get the X3 LE software so that I could get a discounted upgrade price on a new full version of SONAR. When I click on the "Upgrade Now" link on the cakewalk site (), it just gives me a full price but includes a field for a coupon code. I'm suspecting you get a coupon code with the LE version?
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I'm kind of bummed out, I was looking forward to the software as much as the interface.

Get in touch with Tascam, It sounds like they forgot to pack the CD's with yours. 
The way it was for me with the Roland A49 was there was a CD with Sonar X1 LE and it had a serial number on the sleeve. You created a cakewalk account and entered the serial number and they e mailed me the activation number. Down the road I was offered to upgrade to X3 Studio for $99 so that was a huge savings off the list price. 
And now I upgraded to Professional for another $99. So I have invested only $200 so far and have the latest.

I'm bummed out, though: Despite the current Amazon description, the Tascam web site FAQ now says, "No DAW recording software is included with the US-16x08". I tried contacting Tascam and was informed "your response may be delayed from 5 to 7 working days". Some company.
