  • Can Audiosnap Transients become nodes in a VST Plugin's Envelope Track?

Hey guys,

I have a question:   Audiosnap is a good way to locate events-- transients--  in an audio track,  right?

Is there any way I can have those Audiosnap transient markers show up automatically as nodes in one of my VST plugins' Envelope tracks?

Let's say,  I have an audio track of a recurring kick-drum.    How can I quickly make its audio transients show up precisely as such in a VST plugin filter's parameter envelope?    Or maybe it becomes a two-step workaround process?

Thanks,    ras

there's a kind of modulator called an envelope follower that you can use to automate parameters using another audio source's signal. audiosnap doesn't exist outside of audiosnap and VSTs cannot communicate with Sonar like ARA does.

Neat idea (Convert Transients to Envelope Nodes) - why not FR it?

there is transient based snap in the preferences so it can be done manually, but automatically I'm using MUX http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=444571#p6215762 and envelope triggering
