Hello all,

SONAR Professional
Win 7 64 bit
Just updated Glouster in Command Center
DELL pc T3400
My audio Interface is now the an YAMAHA MG20XU analog mixing console
formerly M-AUDIO Delta 66.

It was a battle trying to strike a balance with tracking my PBass (or guitar) with or w/o head phones. The
playback volume of my existing tracks is blowing my head off (no pun intended), while the input level is
never strong enough to create usable recording level. I thought going through any effects and a direct box
would do the the trick. Turns out a preamp (Focusrite Trkmaster) was all it needed.
What ever audio signal you feed Sonar, (one at a time btw) has to be in the "pfl" mode, make sure
on " is pushed in and viola, wave file created is strong and clean, its a beautiful thing.

Now I'm trying to convert downloaded midi files to wave mono files...learning how to assign soft-synths to the tracks, learning curve time.
Anyone using the same Yamaha console as I am?

drop in on me.

thanks

Sir William
Hi,

I am using the MG12XU. Seems fine so far apart from the Windows 10 problems with the drivers.

I use the Yamaha console as the audio interface and I also have a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 connected too.

Hey Sir William,
thanks for touching base with me.
....another one of my questions was concerning playback of midi files.
I downloaded "beginnings" by Chicago, loaded it onto Sonar. Using my YAMAHA PYG 235 usb connected keyboard for the sound generation. I was listening to playback via the keyboard and trying to mix it down, I noticed the play back was in mono, I'm like what no separation at all ???
have you run any midi files through your keyboard , sorry im not familiar with your gear . I didnt know if it was the "pfl" buttons being activated or what?

any thoughts?
thanks
