It needs to be in the same place it was before.

Yes, as I said, it can't be in the same place because I don't have the drive H: (original place) anymore.

You should be able to recreate the original path (H:\...) by creating a virtual drive. Look here :
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/5291/how-to-create-a-virtual-hard-drive-in-windows-7/

it will work also on Windows 8.1

Good luck

It is possible to change drive letters to get the original arrangement. In Windows 8.1, Windows-x k (i.e. press the windows key and x at the same time, then let go and press k) brings up the disk management screen. Then right-click a volume name in the top pane. It gives the option to change drive letter and paths. If you want to swap two letters, you'll have to use a third intermediate letter.

Be aware this will screw up other programs that rely on drive letters. It's best to do this as a first step after a clean install of Windows.

Cheers, Peter.

Hey! Based on your two last suggestions, I found a DEFINITIVE SOLUTION for changing drive letters: Virtual Subst
With this little program, I can create an ALIAS for my current drive letter, hence I can have 2 (or more) letters for the same partition: H: and E: are the same disk partition.
Then the old plugin references in my old project (to H:) are solved!

Edit your first post to add solved in the thread title. And add to first post "solution is in post #14"

Well that's a workaround but it's a shame Sonar can't resolve plugins by their ID if they can find the plugin.

I wonder if it's two different cracks of AltiVerb?

I can't make sense of what's going on in this thread. Sonar absolutely does not care what drives your plug-ins are on.

When ever I see this error myself I wonder at the thinking that the end user needs the CLSID. I understand it's technical value but what would be more useful would be a browse button so the the user could point sonar to the intended plug (good bad or indifferent) and Sonar would fix up it's inventory accordingly.

Which would generate more support calls as users point sonar to the wrong plug but I for one, would like a chance to fix that issue on the fly globally right as it happens.

I can only imagine this that this is not the way vst inventory works under the hood or musicians (a.k.a mere guitar players like me) would not be shown a CSLID as it that was the key to it all.

At first you must show up the browser, and select the plugin pull down menu.
And then you must slect the rayout of plugin, so as soon as open cakewalk plug-in manager.
And then  tap or click the searching for VST plug-in's tab.
Then the searching system is started and discover your plug in of all that is in anywhere.
