Anyone have any recommendations on the best control surface for Sonar Platinum?
 
I was thinking of the Novation Mk2 SL.

I have no idea what that would do for me. I need a keyboard to run Omnisphere via Sonar. A joystick won't help at all.

Now that I see no one else has responded I feel bad :( I was only joking.

In the Omnisphere demo they are using that keyboard you mention. It really depends whether you're looking to control Sonar or looking to control Omnisphere. I think it's fair to say the Novation Keyboard will work quite well controlling Omnisphere.

I have a Mackie Control and one XT .

Well it all depends on if you want a dedicated control surface for Sonar Plat or if you want a midi keyboard to act as a control surface.  I truly think the two are separate.  I have several M-Audio keyboards for just using as midi keyboards, that's it.  I have a Korg Workstation for using a workstation, that's it. However, I have a Mackie Control surface to use for only controlling Sonar  X3e, that's it.
 
If you want a great control surface, see if you can find a used Mackie Control Surface, or even a BCF2000 from Behringer off of ebay or Craigslist.

By far, the best controller for Sonar remains the V700.  Yeah, we V700 owners **** and moan about it being dropped, but in reality, it works just fine. I personally use it every single day with Platinum. You are not gong to find any controller that is more tightly intergrated with Sonar....period.
