Hi

It appears Sonar X1c Producer (64 bit) is on Z3TA + 1.5.

However according to:
http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2357683
Z3TA is on 2.
Do we get upgrades? (I checked the synths and they appear up to date).

Also does anybody know if the Dimension Pro and Rapture Expansion Packs comes with x1c by default?

Wondering what the policy is here...

Thanks.

You can upgrade from 1.5 to 2 in the Cake store. Very reasonable upgrade price for a great synth, IMO.

The Z3TA+ version delivered with X1 is 1.5. The Z3TA+ 2 is a whole new beast, and can only be bought separately. However - owners of Z3TA + 1.5 (that is anyone owning X1) can get a price reduction for the upgrade. I am not sure if this new version will be included in the upcoming version of "X", but I would not hold my breath..

The expansion packs for Dimension pro and Rapture are freely down-loadable and usable. As far as I know the expansion packs will detect the different versions of Dimension (LE or Pro) and Rapture (LE or Full) and only install the appropriate expansions. Keep in mind that "smaller" versions of the Cakewalk software only have Dimension LE (i don't know about studio, but producer has Dimension Pro). All versions of X1 only have Rapture LE - the full version of Rapture have to be bought separately (I did buy it and did not regret it).

Hope this helps...

Great - Thanks!... So am I right in assuming the expansion packs are not included by default with X1C?

Also just noticed TruePianos is on 1.5 with X1C, however click the link below you will notice it's on 1.9.1, this appears to be a maintenance release with no way to download for X1 Producer?:

(As you can tell I'm going through all the softsynths today! :).

Same thing with TruePianos... you need to purchase the full edition in order to receive the updates. The version included with SONAR is a scaled-down version.

Is the Dimension Pro that's bundled with the Producer edition a scaled down version in regards to the sounds and samples that's included? In comparison to the retail packaged version of Dimension Pro.

I believe DimPro as currently provided with SONAR is the full version.

Which has me confused as hell, I have 8.5.3 PE, it says I do NOT have to install Disc 3 of X1(Dim. Pro 1.5) if I'm leaving 8.5. By the way, how do you check version of Dim Pro, remember going through 3 or so updates in 8.5. I hope it's OK, I'm not putting Disc 2 in unless I have to. Why make different versions of Dim Pro for X1, or did they, and then have to delete 8.5s, go through all the registry changes???Screw it Im done for a day or two, sorry for wasting a couple peoples time! Maybe I don't need it,(disc 3) of x1 we'll see! Thought I could order discs load em up 1,2,3,4 bam, update to X1c if need be, see ya in a couple weeks. Good luck!

Interesting if you go (with X1C) to:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\z3ta+
... and right click on any of the z3ta dlls the version is on 1.5.4.0
Yet if you go to the the support page, it's only on 1.5.3:
http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/product.aspx/Z3TA

Also I still think they should be supplying us Sonar X1 users a TruePianos 1.9.2 patch (which are bug fixes).
