Hi, I´m trying to use Rapture to make the sound of the Shine on You Crazy Diamond PtI intro, using the Muz3um wave pack. Since there are EMS, Solina and Moog waveforms this should be feasible (or not?). I'd thank a lot any suggestions, since my sound design skills are not too good.

the minimoog lead is quite brassy, so the key part in my opinion is the filter envelope shape, mainly its attack 

tweak the filter cutoff and EG time/levels to taste, I'm just going by memory rigth now so I don't remember exactly how "dark" is the tone 
I added some controls (modwheel and aftertouch) for additional expression 

the arp string sample is very noisy as I made a mistake in the looping process 
in any case when holding the G minor key (note Element1 and 2 are set to different octaves) the buzz noise becomes less disturbing 

I didn't use filters here, you could add LP1 to Element1 and a HP1 to Element2 (tweak both cutoff values to taste) to clean the sounds a bit 
check also the phaser in GlobalFX2: it adds a subtle movement but you could tweak both LFO and feedback in order to make the effect more dramatic

Hi, fr4ncesco. Thanks a lot for your patches, for the Muz3um pack and for your reply. In a nutshell, thanks for everything :) I spent this evening with this and I think I came up with a split that comes pretty close. I used the ARP strings and the EMS VCS-3 samples with the Moog Taurus 2 underneath in the bottom two octaves of the keyboard with one of your Mini programs for the lead in the other three octaves. I`ll check your programs that will surely be closer than mine.
