HI:)

I have to remix some old Projects and I get these Error messages:

https://1drv.ms/f/s!Al2mKojzOW0MlKlkqA1XTA0hLh--9A

I had this problem long time ago and I solved it but can't remember what to do:(

Projects made with Splat 3 years ago , Errors in CbB, 04 2018.

Any Ideas?

Thanks a lot:)

Can you delete the fx from the project and then put them back. That should take care of the CLSID changes.

Yep, it should help, but unfortunately all plugin settings are gone. Another thing to improvement list I guess.

Hi:)

With old files I get these errors on PC76 Compressor and Console Emulator Channel and Bus Types

With making a new File, but an older template only CE Errors.

With making a new File with the new Templates from CbB no errors.

So it would help if I make new templates for new files, for the old files the Plugins are working nevertheless.
It's just a bit nervy to click the errors away all the time....

P.S. Absolut no problems in Platinum, so I'll mix them in SPlat

Have you tried importing the project via the Media Library?

In other words, within CbB:
  • Start a new project using Blank template
  • Delete the two default tracks it creates
  • Go to the Media tab on the right, and select Project Files [EDIT: from the source drop-down menu on the Media Tab]
  • Drag the old project on to the track area
I've found this solves most compatibility issues with older projects, although I'm not sure how well it does at converting the settings across. Worth a try tho.

If you pick one of the replacements in that dialog and save the project as a new name and then open it do you continue to get the message popup?

HI:)

@mudgel @Piotr

Does work, but as Piotr says, all Settings are gone. Not a real problem, but for a starting point the old settings would be fine:)

@msmcleod

That works too, but as with the first method from mudgel, all settings are gone now plus the tempo settings...

@Noel Borthwick

On Error there are two replacements and I have tried them both and it doesn't work.
As soon as I give the project a new name (I have prerenamed them too for sure), the errors doesn't appear again. GREAT:)
Thank you Noel:)

About 60 files to Remix and I've not openend all of them yet, but the errors doesn't appear on all files! On some Files I got a Runtime Error, but gone too if I click on retry.....the much greater mess of all the files are the missing synths and plugs I have used years ago, so I'll mix it with newer ones:)

Thanks to all;)
