What do you mean "it likes to trigger multi instruments"?
 
You mean as you play on your keyboard/controller all the synths in the project are playing at once? If so turn off the Echo buttons on all the tracks you are not currently recording into.
 

Or, set the inputs to none on the tracks you're not recording on.

To see the current Nudge settings, choose Edit > Preferences > Customization > Nudge. You can also adjust the settings there. To see the numeric pad keyboard shortcut assignments, choose Process > Nudge.

Turn off Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording "Always Echo Current MIDI Track"
Make sure all MIDI and instrument track inputs are set to None when not recording and/or make sure nothing in the synth rack has "Enable MIDI Output" selected.
 
WRT nudge, I would guess the image from the help http://www.cakewalk.com/D...age=3&help=0x2095D shows the default (although it could be an image from a prior version too).
