Foxboro. Add 2 UAD plugins to the same FX bin. Delete them. Sonar Crashes. Rollback to Everett. Repeat the steps. Sonar doesn't crash. Anyone else seeing this? If so, I'll submit a problem report.

Edit: After further testing, I'm now seeing Everett crash, too.

Yes, I have had crashes and tracks not playing when adding multiple FX in an FX bin.

Check event viewer for more detailed error message. Do you see any DLL's referenced apart from Sonar? What if you run as admin?

I had a repeatable crash today deleting BFD2 from the browser, but I don't quite have it worked out enough to file a decent bug report. But maybe it's related to the same problem you're having. Seems new, at any rate.

I have the Platinum Demo and have no problems with adding two UAD effects and then deleting them. My UAD system software is 7.11.
Perhaps it is specific plug ins?
I did have a lot of difficulty with VST Scan when loading Platinum Demo. Having more than one instance of a VST in  different folders caused a Platinum crash.

Hm..yeah, something funny is going on. I've tried this about 10 times now and generated a crash 3 of them. Funny thing is it's not consistent here. I can try the same set of actions multiple times and get different results....

Doktor Avalanche
Did some googling on BEX64 what turned up.

Try

* Turn off antivirus temporarily
* Try running Sonar as administrator.
* Try using a blank template in Sonar.

Other things to try:

* Update your audio interface device drivers and firmware
* Get windows update fully up to date.

Thanks..

Thanks for your responses, Folks.

Doktor Avalanche, starting from a blank template seems to resolve the issue. Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I'll just recreate my Normal template from that.

Nope. Just recreated my Normal template from the blank template and it's still crashing intermittently.

Hmm... it seems it has to do with there being a UAD plugin in the FX bin of my Master bus. When I tested using the blank template, I hadn't added a UAD plugin to the Master bus, but when I recreated my Normal template, I added the UAD Precision Limiter to it. Now, with the limiter there, if I add 2 UAD plugins to the FX bin of a track and delete them, it crashes. When I remove the limiter and then add and delete 2 UAD plugins, it doesn't crash.
