This is clearly not a Cakewalk problem but I'm just curious if there's anyone else with this problem:
The driver of my Geforce GTX 460 has been updated to 353.62 and now screens in Sonar X3 load slow and the console view simply freezes after some play. You can still move through it manually but it won't follow play. Also sometimes it replicates the Now-line ad infinitum.
Just would like to know whether I can tell Nvidia I'm not the only one.

As you have just witnessed firsthand, graphics drivers should be left well enough alone when they're working fine.  They're probably the one exception when it comes to the rule of keeping hardware drivers updated (Unless, of course, you're experiencing display issues).

Oops, should've mentioned the OS: Windows 7 64bits.
I'm very wary of a clean install of Sonar, with all the addons I have. I will look into rolling back the driver version for the viedeo card, though the Nvidia software that updates the driver doesn't seem to make that any easy option. Maybe through Windows config...
Anyway, thanks for your suggestions. And JonD, you're quite right about updating the video drivers, but I suppsoe every one of us has to learn the hard way.

Nvidia allows a "clean install" for the graphic's software (not SONAR or the OS). IIRC, there are actually 4 separate programs in that installer, and I backed out and installed only the graphic's drivers. You can try re-running Nvidia's installer, select "clean installation" and uncheck the gaming stuff, etc.

Thanks, metellus. I rolled back through Windows config and that seems to have worked, but your pointer on Nvidia's clean install option may be very useful in the future.

Just to revive this old thread: I found out the freezing has nothing to do with the Nvidia update. That was just a coincidence. But it has everything to do with inserting Replika in a track. Do that and either the track doesn't roll past on play or the Now-line is replicated a million times. Delete Replika and everything is normal. Anyone recognize this behaviour?

Latest version of Replika buggy as hell. Just roll back a version... Cheers..

Can't even remember how I got it; must have been a freebie. I've got version 1.2.2.748. Wouldn't know where to get an earlier version, but now that I've realized it's NI I'll complain with them.
