Basically to some people it's throw away. You pay your rent and move on. You don't own the product why should you bother to continue. In a way it's an extended trial. Not my mentality but that's what society is coming to nowadays...

Cheers..

Ah. You want to argue a point based on what you speculate other people may or may not be thinking.

I think I can boil that down to "you want to argue", without losing much of substance.

Oh come on we are only on page two of the thread...
It was based on a  comment that they might have cracked software wasn't it?.. And this was an alternative viewpoint.
Nobody is arguing, all are speculating. My opinion reading OP's comment is this is exactly what it is. Just my opinion. Disagreement with it is fine.
You are the first person who has mentioned 'arguement'. Might be good to read the thread.

I watch alot of videos on Studio One 3. I hate playing around with stuff that just supposed to work so to the poster my sympathies. The fifty bug fixes a month is weird to me too. The whole new system seems pointless to me. But I guess other people like it and are happy that they have a command centre that you can re install all the software that you purchased over and over and over again and again and again. I don't know!

He mentioned bug fixes every month I guess you would have to be a member to get all that. Is this another way of cakewalk breaking down the cracked platinum's by making them buggy then giving you a year of bug fixes every month I guess those that have cracked versions would walk away after the second month but if you pay you go to stay. Or waste your money I just hope that they will be more bug fixes more rapidly so we have a system a DAW that is by all means the best DAW that Sonar have made and let it be an outstanding application I usually wait till eith or nine months before I purchase. I thought Platinum had been released from last year only to find out that it was released beginning of this year. Now I have to go through the pain of having major bug fixes every month.

Not really, you can update whenever you want. You can wait several months and update to a version several months back.

It seems a lot of people don't realize that comparing the old model and the new one, the new one is all about giving users choices about how and when they update, as well as how they want to pay for the program.

As to the OP, it's clear he had no interest in finding out how to solve whatever problem he had so that he could enjoy the same level of performance as most other posters. If he goes to the PreSonus support forum he'll find plenty of posts complaining about things that "don't work"...many of which are probably about as valid as his complaints.

We need more bug fixes, and meat and potato enhancements.. As soon as possible..  It's nearly 2016 now.
If that means pain so be it. I'll upgrade when I need. I can stick on the current version quite happily, although drum maps UI still killing me and I've given up on takelanes until they get fixed/enhanced.

Sometimes you just need to re-install. Worked for me.

Reinstall won't fix long standing bugs, but Sonar is far more stable (pretty much rock solid) and performs better than X3E.
