Os win10  sonar professional  glouscester
problem reason 5 is installed correct  but sonar doesnt 'see' it  to add as rewire device  ,  reaper is also installed on this system and
does show up as rewire device in sonar  ,  reason DOES showup in reaper as device and functions correct so the problem must be sonar in this case , any remedy or light to shed on this  , would appreciate some feedback.

I'm going to guess that you're using 64-bit versions of Reaper and SONAR, and when you installed the latest version of Reaper and/or SONAR, it installed the 64-bit DLL for Reason. However, because Reason 5 is 32-bit, it won't work with the ReWire DLL.

64bit SONAR? IIRC, Reaper includes a bridge for Rewire. I recently saw something about a ReWire bridge. The links in this post are still good http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2833169. Don't know if it works in Win10.

yes 64 bit  , you could be correct v5 reason was still 32bit rewire ,   so sonar can bridge 32 bit plugins but not
rewire while reaper can do both?

That sums it up. Bridging was never intended as a permanent solution but a bridge until vendors released 64bit versions. 64bit Reason has been out for some time. If you must use 32bit Rewire clients, try the bridge in the link above.
