I moved my downloads to a separate partition on my system drive - 33Gb in total!!
 
Hey Dan, well done on taking a point off Chelsea last weekend - thoroughly deserved I thought. And as for Mourinho's antics with the medicals staff .

Never one to big up my team but , I thought we outplayed Chelsea and should have got all three.

Totally agree. If this was Jose's attempt to deflect criticism of his team's poor performance (and let's be fair, he has previous) then it's backfired massively. There's a HUGE sh*t storm on all the footy sites that I frequent, the only ones in denial are - surprise surprise (sorry Cilla), Chelsea "fans".

Their Pre Season was hardly anything to write home about , But apparently Pre Season doesnt count , We went there looking for a win . and only narrowly failed but a point is a good one there regardless.
Think we can push on this season and do better than last . And lets be honest Chelsea has probably the most vile supporters there is .
They claim they want to stamp out racism but reward one with a new contract and the captaincy.

My point is i have never had any other software that thinks storing EXE`s after successfully installed on your hard drive is a good idea.
I been messing about with various programmes for almost 20 years and never come across it before . 
Its wasteful. 24GB is a lot to lose ,especially for things that are not needed . 
 
That`s my opinion and i respect yours but still don't agree it is needed in any way ,. And its all well and good saying "for the cost of a few TB of green HDD storage" but a lot of people have not got the money to spare .

I think it's happening now because we don't get installers on external media anymore. We get downloads so we end up with the files on our PCs. Buts it's real easy to manage. Select the files and delete them if you don't want them or feel you need them for some reason.
When I said I had a drive just for installers obviously it's only for downloaded installers. If I have disks or CDs or DVDs then I just keep them as I think we all do. I don't remember installing a program off 4 DVDs and then throwing the DVDs away.
