Could never do this befor... always needed to disable audio from chrome, utube, fb, etc  before loading Sonar or it would crash/not play...thru my Focusrite Forte/studio monitors...could only do one, not both....  I've gotten into a routine switching them on and off but tonight I just sat down and am listening to Skippie's latest MegaMagicDreams walkthrough for Omnisphere 2 and realized Sonar was up, and can play Greg's new Banshee along with the video... Simultaneously...

When did this happen?  I'm not dreamin'... and could NOT do this before...

Did you update the drivers recently?
Not Sonar, it's your interface.

Nope... forte is same as always... They do have a beta win10 driver set, but it has problems and I haven't updated since purchasing it a year and a half ago...

Do you have share audio drivers on in Sonar?

Yep... ok, so I guess I assume this latest update turned this on... or corrected something as I've never changed this setting and have no idea what it has been set to forever... it's nice though... was always a headache before...

Oh well, I'm really happy how ever it happened... thanks John...

Re. the query in the OPs title, it's pronounced 'Gloster', rhyming with Foster.

Or you could have used VoiceMeeter before (and still can). Granted - it's a virtual ASIO.

With Focusrite you can have this switched off, at least with the saffire models, the ASIO drivers have magic powers. I keep mine off.

Many programs can address a single ASIO driver.

If you turn on Share drivers in Sonar only the program with windows focus can use it. If you uncheck share driver then all programs can access the driver simultaneously. It seems counter intuitive but that's the way it is.

Of course the program has to be able to use the driver type that's selected in Sonar..
