Howdy ...very reluctant to download "Gloucester" due to Win10 update(s) ...

far too many problems reported to take a chance IMHO ...

... providing your devices are Win 10 compatible (or just work anyway) and you have a decent external backup solution like acronis. Nobody here knows your specs.

The update works fine without it.
No need to rush into Win10 to take advantage of "G."

I'm very confused. Platinum works fine on Win 8.1. Or is OP updating to Win10. I don't know...

Platinum Gloucester is running fine here on win7 x64 as well as win8...

Cakewalk announced this release tested and approved for win10 as an addition. From what I've been reading it works fine on win10 as well if your audio drivers up capable...

And what's more, I upgraded to Windows 10 and a week later, "recovered" back to Windows 7. It all worked. (I mean, the upgrade and "downgrade/restore" processes.)

I did an in place upgrade 8.1 to 10. Smooth as silk. Few things I don't like by then there's been a few things I haven't liked about every OS.
