Anybody have any trouble with Win 10 besides me? My Sonar Platinum worked just fine in Win 7. In preparation for Win 10 upgrade (my version of Win 7 is Home Premium), I installed the latest RME drivers and firmware. That worked fine, and then after installing Win 10 (which went just fine as well), I tried opening a project in  Sonar. After about 15-20 seconds of pausing, the program screen just disappeared, no error messages, nothing. I reverted to Win 7, and everything works fine just as before. I'm running a six core i7 with 16 gigs of ram. Hopefully a fix is around the corner instead of finger pointing between Microsoft and Cakewalk...lol! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar situation? Thanks!

Hmm strange.  Not seeing anything like that and I did an in-place upgrade to 10.  Have you tried running CCC and seeing if there are any updates to install?

Are you getting any useful logs in Windows Event Viewer under the application section?

No, I didn't know about, BRuys...maybe I'll try it again, thanks!

Was there anything in the windows event viewer?

Otherwise your best option may be a wipe of the disk partition and clean install of Win 10, hope you took a note of the product key.

This is impossible to diagnose without more info I'm afraid. This is not an application level crash (blank screen looks like hardware) so you won't need to point the finger at Cakewalk. If I were forced to guess it's something to do with the audio interface or display drivers.

Thanks Dok...I do have a product key, so I can try a wipe...probably the only fix...

If I were you I'd wait for a number of months before you try again. Things may clear up by then.
Cheers

Right, and I just remembered that Win 10 crashed the project the same way when I tried opening the project in Sonar X3 too...so it probably is something about Win 10 that might be fixed soon (I hope).
