Somehow the time signature in my piece has changed in a few measures to 4/4.  I want to put the entire piece back to 3/4.  How do I do this?

Set it to 3/4 at the beginning of the piece.
 
Delete all other time signatures

View>meter/key will give you a map of all time signatures.

I have had this happen at times when I would make a change to the key signature. You have to watch when you do this, to make sure you set the correct time sig also, or it will default to 4/4 (at least in Sonar 8.5; I have to always add that caveat, as I don't know if my feedback will be relevant to those on later editions).
