This is on a new drive C rebuilt after read error problems with the original drive
This was rebuilt using PCMover for the majority of programs
I am running Win 8.1 64 bit Sonar Platinum Gloucester x64
I have ONE DXI that is registered ok, Groove Player
I have 3 dxi files that will not register in C:\program files\cakewalk\shared dxi
tts-1
Pentagon PSYNII
VVocal

I've tried the following command line from an Administrator Cmd.exe
regsvr32 "c:\program files\cakewalk\shared dxi\tts-1\tts-1.dll"
tried from the 64 bit SysWOW64 directory
tried from the System32 directory

I got an error message saying that the the dll may not be compatable with the running version of Windows and to check if the module is compatable with x86 or x64 version of regsvr32.exe
Thinking that tts-1 might have been corrupted in the transfer/rebuild process I renamed the existin tts-1 directory, copied tts-1 directory from my working desktop and tried the elevated command prompt again (both locations) with the same error messages.

I'd REALLY like to find out why Cakewalk won't automatically register these files rather than having to do all the command line stuff but at this point , "whatever works" will be fine
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Fred

Dx is an ancient plugin format. These apps aren't supplied with Platinum or supported any more.

Go to the previous Sonar versions to install them (custom install).

I really don't care about all the others except TTS-1, That's my go to first synth as I start on a project. After all the midi is established I then look for the actual synths I use for final output.

Of course TTS-1, PSYN II and 3 other DirectX synths are bundle with Platinum. There is a fourth but it is not included in the synth drop down list, it is used by the metronome. Still might be easier to find a version of SONAR containing V-Vocal, run the advanced install to get the synths back. V-Vocal will require installing the SONAR program from the custom pick list.
