I wonder, is that is where you can set Sonar to always run as administrator? I remember reading that you could do that, but don't recall where or how to do it.

Well, if you edit the Properties of the launch icon for Sonar, then click on Advanced, you will see a box for checking - called Run As Administrator, and if you check that box, then click OK, then click Apply, and then OK again, it will tell Windows that when this icon is used to launch Sonar - it will do so with Run As Administrator on.  Changing it this way will retain the setting for the Run As Administrator, meaning that every time you launch Sonar from this icon, it will Run As Administrator.  This is how I have any icons for launching Sonar, X1, X2, X3, Platinum, Bronzium, Tinfoilium, Uranium, whatever version comes along. :)

Now that I have ticked run as administrator Platinum is running much faster seems a little snappier. Amazing!
