Yes, one track a time when inserting into a folder. I suspect a lot of repetition could be cut down with a few track templates or a over-populated project template. Sometimes it is easier to delete unwanted tracks/folders than build fresh each time.

I was someone loathe to mention it because there is so much going on in this thread already but one thing that would be really awesome for the "Insert Multiple Synths" into a folder thing would be... and look at scook's helpful graphic to see what I mean...

In those little boxes where it shows the Audio and MIDI track count if you could click on those and get a dialog or something or it turns into an entry box where you could add X number of Audio or MIDI tracks. It almost seems like that might have been the intent at one point but maybe coding it would have been a logistical pain in the balls (especially in the chaos of the initial X series/Skylight release).

But yeah... how awesome would it be just to be able to toss in some extra blank tracks by entering a number into those fields? Would take some thinkin' and doin' but it would be convenient.

Cheers.

I should get on with it. Thanks for entertaining my spazzwadiness, guys. This has been a very fruitful thread.

Indeed. My problem with templates at this point is I never quite know where my projects are heading. Once I settle into a groove (like once I start putting together albums or just get ideas for a specific style of writing) then I'll employ templates. Right now I'm still really just trying to figure out WTF I'm trying to do with all this in the long run.

I would definitely never anticipate a project like this because it's actually someone else's massive creation that I'm rebuilding from the ground up... which they have graciously allowed me to do. Very educational and why I'm here asking questions again.
