I'm probably missing something basic, but this is driving me berzerk: I'm just creating a rhythmic little loop out of some midi clips. Whenever I play a little loop I extend it so it's exact the length I need (in this case 12 bars). When I create a groove clip, Sonar (Platinum) always extends the loop just just a bit...but enough that when I drag the clip to create the loop...it's out of sync on the second repetition.

Do any notes in the clips go past the end of the 12th bar?  If any do, shorten them.

No, they don't. The loop section is literally from the start of one bar to the end of the last one. My biggest frustration is that it's not entirely consistent. It does it in some projects and not others...and in some new projects and not others.

Set the correct value for Beats in Clip in Groove Clip section of the Clip tab in the Inspector.
