I upgraded yesterday from 8.1 pro to 10 pro. I had zero issues (knock on wood). There is another feature in Win 10 that might be useful - a built in screen recorder (Win + G). I was able to record Sonar's screen and ASIO audio (by using VoiceMeeter). Quality is pretty good.

When I went through the upgrade process, I thought I took care of this. But, to check, I followed the instructions in the link above and was surprised, and disappointed, to see it set to ON. So, I switched it off, but better even, I went to the Manage adapter settings and disabled Dell's built-in WiFi. I neither need it nor want it on my desktop.

Additionally Windows 10 boots much faster due to a combination of optimization techniques. These improvements can make Windows 10 actually work better on even older PC’s as reported in this article that recommends Windows 10.
 

Isn't it like this anytime we get a new Windows version? It boots faster than the last one ... but then the regular windows updates kick in and a few months later it's definitely slower ... ???

In my experience window 8/8.1 has always booted faster except for the first boot after an update or if the computer lost power and it knew the previous shutdown was unexpected.
 
In those cases it takes longer than usual to boot as it checks things to make sure all is well.

I just upgraded to windows 10 on this computer and I am using Firefox for the Browser.

I tried to post to this thread twice before using firefox on window 10 and nothing happens.

I just enabled the location setting since perhaps it is a timestamp issue.
