  • [Solved] Anyone know why my IKMultimedia VST's aren't listing in Platinum?

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, I'm running the 64bit gloucester updated Sonar Platinum, I've installed all other VST's (toontrack, Addictive Drums 1 and 2, Some Superwave 32bit synths) with no problems but I can't get Sonar to list my IK products (Sample tank/tron/moog, soniksynth and Miroslav Philharmonic). I've tried relocating the dll's, rescanning and resetting the vst's in the preferences page, the vst's are listed in the blue vst-scan box at startup but they're not showing up in the plugin manager, not even under the 'show excluded' setting...

Not sure what's happening here, but know that ik plugins are working fine here and for everyone else i know. This leads me to think that it is system specific...

I see that you've tried what i would have suggested, but i'm thinking something is being overlooked...

Are they 64/32 bit? Make sure they are in the appropriate location relative to this as well...

old IK 32bit plug-ins usually require SONAR to be run as administrator.

As a habit I always run SONAR as Admin.

There is an option to run a plugin layout for Platinum only plugins, make sure that's not checked.

Whaddayaknow, 'run as administrator' did the trick! All plugins listed and working. Thanks for the fix guys...
