It is not redundant. Session Drummer is a VST2 plug-in. There is no VST3 version.

Thanks. I understand that now. Nevertheless, and judging by the number of posts expressing frustration about SessionDrummer not working, maybe the default setting for "Hide Related VST2 Plug-ins" should be "unchecked". It would certainly save a lot of time.

Cheers

Have you tried enabling the option after seeing Session Drummer in plug-in list?

Yes. Gives the missing plugin message when I try to "Insert > Soft Synth > SessionDrummer.

That is a first. I would try a VST reset.

Can't hurt to do a VST reset and rescan, either.

OK, got it. I didn't do a rescan when I responded to Scook previously.
  1. did a rescan for failed plugins with "Hide Related VST2 Plug-ins" OFF,
  2. Turned "Hide Related VST2 Plug-ins" ON.
SessionDrummer now appears in the Soft Synth list.

Thanks
