I made the jump this morning to windows 10. The first attempt was excellent!!! Windows 7 to Windows 10 with 2 Studio-Captures and it never blinked!! Everything went great!
Then HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! I upgraded my 8.1 laptop and WHAT?? NO DRIVERS IN SONAR FOR STUDIO-CAPTURES!!!!!
After swearing and sweating for about an hour, I finally figured it out.
The old drivers for the Studios were blocking the new drivers for the Studio! They were both blocking Sonar from seeing ANY drivers! I un-installed the old drivers and the new ones appeared, ready to go. I just had to re-set the ASIO monitoring and the syncing of the 2 Studio-Captures and all was back to normal.
I don't know for sure but anyone with 2 SCs in sync may want to un-install the original drivers before you upgrade to windows 10 from 8.1. Your install may go smooth as silk.

CakeAlex (aka DokAvalanche) seems to be trying to get a hardware driver compatibility thread for Win10 going on here...

http://forum.cakewalk.com/Unofficial-Cakewalk-windows-10-driver-compatibility-READ-FIRST-POST-FIRST-m3266183.aspx

Doesn't seem to be getting a lot of entries but whatevs. This seems like the type of thing that shoudl be documented. I did not "read the first post" as instructed really as I'm on Win7 (and will remain there... AND my device is already listed as compatible) so maybe it's not about problems but this is quality info for users of your hardware in that config setup.

Thanks for the report, Sidroe.

Thanks, beepster. I posted there about my episode. I hope it helps someone and I'm really hoping that the bakers read it and contact Roland to advise that maybe we should uninstall old drivers to avoid conflict. Anyway, all is running well in 10 land, SO FAR!

what really needs to happen is Microsoft not bork or touch people's drivers on their computers if they are doing an upgrade....
I can see if one was doing a clean install, but for crying out loud....DON'T TOUCH THE STINKING DRIVERS if doing an upgrade :)

If a driver was find to be incompatible, then knock it offline and notify the person. I mean, if they can have Cortana tell you where to go, etc., then it could tell you, hey, you got an old driver...hahahahah
