Read the article and assume it's all a bunch of BS.
 
How could they put a custom amp configuration into a little bottle that's designed to look like a tube. Why not just sell the amp as the EJ model. The little dongle smells of gimmick. If they can put EJ's personal take into a little dongle, then we should be ready for a Dave Gilmour module, a Santana module and ultimately a talent module.
 
When will the nonsense end. And by the way, back in the day, before I learned about gear, I played an Ibanez guitar through a Roland Cube 60 and a TS808. It was portable and had great tone on a budget. I like a lot of Roland gear but never buy it any more because I got tired of them announcing a game changing technology and dumping it in 18 months. VS700 anyone?

I think it may be kind of cool. The amp has had good reviews in general and now with the tone capsule they're using  dsp to modify the two channels into EJ's Fender clean and his Marshall gain. If the tones are there I guess it will be a hit. I'm personally Interested in this and the Atomic Amplifire.
