I've been looking into getting one of these plug-ins. Seen a video which talks about in Logic Pro X which does seem quite a cool effect. Some stuff I do with string libraries uses two reverbs - one front impulse and a rear impulse however I don't think it takes any notice of the different frequencies at the "back of your head". I imagine it's not phase cancelling because of the two different impulses although is there a better way to do this.
http://www.noisemakers.fr/binauralizer/ This plug-in sticks the audio into a 3d space by panning everything around a virtual headspace.
http://www.waves.com/plugins/brauer-motion#brauer-motion-plugin-tutorial That's also cool but can you keep this thing static You don't want to be giving people motion sickness when listening to music.
There's NX which can emulate your headspace however this is designed to emulate a room through your headphones. I already have his however I'm not sure that is going to work well or be CPU efficient enough.
The noisemaker would be pretty cool however at about £200 it's a fiscally out of reach currently. The Waves one if I could just slow down enough or even just keep static would be better. I'm probably asking a bit too much as usual. You know me, always asking the easy questions.
