Since the newest update is the Offical Release (no longer Early Access), why isn't the word spread on the Internet? Not even an official announcement on the BandLab platform?

How does BandLab want to spread the news outside the Sonar community?

Where would an official announcement be expected to appear?
There are/were a ton of articles in the usual (online) mags. Google "BandLab Cakewalk" and see for yourself.

Both here https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk and here https://cakewalk.bandlab.com/ there isn't a proper description of what's included  and what the software can do (for those who have never used Sonar).

Everywhere on the Internet there's still the announcement from 4th April, the one which states 'Early Access'.

I don't see new users (who never used Sonar) coming to the forum.

Hey PopStarWannabe, :)
I do think you have a valid point insofar as the Links you identified.
Yeah...........Would indeed be so nice to suddenly see refreshed ,up to date landing pages....to coincide with all the upgrade announcement date/s....similar say to Microsoft / Adobe  and say that other Mob........That's right....  APPLE.
YES.............. NO DOUBT......Perception wise , it might appear things are a 'TAD' sluggish in the BANDLAB Camp
BUT ,
From what I am hearing thus far from Meng...........He is in it for the LONG HAUL.
And , let's face It..........it will Be a Long Haul.........No Doubt About That !!!
We Have just been rescued from a BL&$#dY shipwreck.
But the bounty on board is priceless!!!!
For My Part.....I would expect there will be those who 'drop off the radar' ( maybe many :(  ) during this necessary transitional stage.
To a degree ......I can understand That.
AND........I have no doubt this ( ie: the issues you - PopStarWannabe - sensibly raised ).......and many other, strategic marketing issues........have already been thrashed out among the software design and stakeholder teams.
Bottom Line...............Available technical Resources within the Bandlab team needing to be delicately balanced in support of a viable, longer Term, marketing strategy.
I for one hope you stick it out 'PopStarWannabe'..............I Reckon it will turn out magnificent.
Cheers My Friend............Frank

It's gotten some coverage on GearSlutz (under the DAW category) which is arguably one of the most important sites in the world for musicians. At least to my knowledge it is.

I think they are probably biding their time. They still have a lot to do, migrating accounts, creating the store, migrating the forums etc. New users don't seem to be able to register to the forums yet. It would be sensible if they got all that infrastructure sorted before pushing this out to an onslaught of new customers. They can afford to keep it low key for a while. There's no rush.

well apparently they have plenty of devs available
Bloomberg...at BandLab's office, where about 40 employees, mostly software developers, work...

mostly means at least about 21

I really wish for Cakewalk to succeed now. It started falling around 2006... and kept on falling. I really wish for it to become a popular and reliable DAW.

+1. BandLab seems to make very deliberate moves.

It's down to you and everyone to make some good music!
Then, when it's famous and playing in the clubs and in everyone's home, you can tell Twitter, Oprah, and the BBC that it was made using Cakewalk by BandLab!
