Hi, wll be installing Sonar X3 on my new computer and not sure if I should first install X1 + X2.
So far I could only think of maybe having a prob with the AAS Player that came with X2 + the AAS packs I bought.
Comparing the plugins included I would not need X1 + X2.
Would appreciate any comments/tips -> thanks

AAS player is not bundled with SONAR. It is a free download from AAS. May want to grab a fresh copy from their site. I cannot recall having issues with AAS player but I rarely used the plug-in.
 
If it were my decision, I would install X3 only and apply the e update, then run advanced installs of the older versions to grab any of the plug-ins I used which are not part of X3.

Now ran the first of 4 installation files (the X3 files I kept when I bought X3 and saved on a external drive), but can't install X3 part 2...it says 'please download and run previous packages' although I succesfully installed part 1 (I can open Sonar already).
Any ideas/comments much appreciated..

I believe you want to have all 4 installers in the same directory and rerun the first one. All the installers will run in series without any interaction on your part. If the installers were in the same directory, you may already have a complete installation.

But if you want be able to use V-Vocal, it will be necessary to install X2 (albeit w/o plugins) before X3.

No, Rapture is included with X3.

This is by no means a comprehensive list. There is a spreadsheet detailing which plugins were included in each Sonar version (Producer Edition only).
