Possibly the worst thread title ever

It is not improvement. It is opposite for me actually. Now I can't fully disable this dialog, I don't need it. I can't set Sonar to open new file right after start, without any dialogs.

I'm sorry, there is an option "On Startup Load Default Template", didn't know about it.
But such things must be fully described while updating. I'm not interesting in that Windows 10 information on 10 pages. And real changes were not described at all.

The new dialog (aka prject template enhancements) is in the ezine for this release http://static.cakewalk.co..._Gloucester_update.pdf

Other sources of information about the release are in the product support area here http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013419/SONAR-2015-Gloucester-Update-Notes and here http://www.cakewalk.com/S...-Workflow-Enhancements

It was not present in first version of this document, which I have downloaded. Thank you for the updated link. But it doesn't describe "On Startup Load Default Template" changes, it seems that it was enabled, and become disabled after update.
And now there is no way to disable this New Project dialog. Yes, Ctrl+N is a workaround, but it is less convenient for me.

I am sure you will get use to it. Of course, there are other ways to create a new projects without using the dialog or CTRL+N. For example, create a seed project and when starting a new project open the seed project and "Save As" under a new name.

I think this is excellent. Nice change Cakey Baby!!

I was just wondering why I don't have it and then remembered I haven't updated yet.

Sheesh.

Yes, but I can't understand why if you make something more convenient for some group of people, even bigger group, it is necessarily must become less convenient for others? It was easy to make it convenient for all, just leave the setting to disable this dialog, but no, people must suffer.

A welcome change for me.

I don't understand the inconvenience imposed by the new dialog. Clicking OK without entering any data works the same as before.
