Cakewalk is really an amazing DAW and I know the people behind the scenes are much, much smarter than I am, however; this release is the first one that didn't offer as many toys (which is fine with me), but it doesn't seem ready. Selection tool is hit or miss and melodyne causing a crash every time. For what the update is offering its not worth the instability and I'm not sure if anything else is bugging. Anyway, I'm reverting back for the first time. I know this is not a big deal and Cakewalk has always come through. So hats off to the staff for all the hard work! It's impossible to foresee so many variables. Thanks Cakewalk! And all you wonderful people out there for your help and advice.

Thread isn't going to mean anything unless you provide your steps to repro...
That's if you want to try and get it fixed....
Try and get the error message in event viewer for melodyne.
Cheers..

Sure thing Doktor! Anyway, reverting back didn't help. I kinda figured it wouldn't. My screen just turns white and seems to lock up. I have to kill it in the task manager. I'll keep checking.

Definitely not running ASIO4ALL I hope.. If so uninstall. Please post all your system specs as well..
Could be a specific plugin issue, try disabling them one by one. 32 bit plugins are general suspects..

No Asio4all! Lol. I disabled all plugins and it was slow but it came up. The problem seem to just get better the more I used it. I reinstalled the latest release of Sonar again after going back to Foxboro. Maybe it just needed some time to sort out everything. Thanks again for all your help sir.
